Chris Demakis is the founder and owner of Demakis Family Real Estate (DFRE). He started the brokerage in 2018 and since that time has built DFRE in to one of the leading real estate brokerage brands along Massachusetts' South Coast and is regularly the top-selling individual agent across the region. As President of the company, in addition to working as a Realtor helping clients sell and buy property, Chris is responsible for growth strategies, operations, and marketing leadership. With a lengthy sales and marketing background, Chris brings a fresh perspective to helping clients position and optimize the value of their real estate. Chris was recently named by the industry consulting group Real Trends as one of the nation's top Realtors, ranking in the top 1% of millions of real estate agents across the United States. Chris is also the founder and owner of the Town Wharf General Store in Mattapoisett.

Prior to founding DFRE, for 23-years Chris served on the leadership team of one of Boston's largest independent marketing and branding agencies, Partners & Simons, with a focus on the healthcare and financial services sectors. Partners & Simons was purchased by Baird Capital in 2012. Today the organization is known as Merge.

Chris grew up in Mattapoisett, attended Tabor Academy and is a graduate of Babson College. Active in his community, Chris is a former board member of the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Mattapoisett Museum.

Along with his husband Vince, and their dog Max, Chris and family live above the general store overlooking Mattapoisett's beautiful harbor. When not helping folks with their real estate needs, you might just find Chris at the counter of the Town Wharf General Store.
